A Real Life Test of EZ-LITE

It seemed a little strange, trying to start my barbeque with something out of the freezer, but it worked like a charm.

It all started with my conversation with Bob Myers, the president of EZ-LITE. He showed me this packet of gel and told me that it was the easiest and safest way to start any kind of wood, coal, or charcoal fire. It was so good, in fact, it would even start a fire when the temperature had dropped well below freezing and the packet was solid.

That’s a pretty easy claim to make in the summer in San Antonio when it was 100 degrees outside. So I decided to put the EZ-LITE packet in my freezer before I lit my charcoal grill. I placed the EZ-LITE packet on top of my charcoal stack and just lit one corner of the EZ-LITE packet. Half an hour later, I was ready to cook! And just as important, EZ-LITE didn't add any taste or smell to my food.

Not only is EZ-LITE the easiest and safest way to start a fire – any fire, it costs about the same as liquid charcoal starter. It works great on fireplaces and camp fires, too. And if you are going into the “back country," don’t think about leaving without EZ-LITE – and of course a couple of matches.
